It all started in 1919 with the legendary stand mixer and interestingly, most stand mixer attachments will fit any KitchenAid stand mixer, including the original 1919 model! During testing of the prototypes, one housewife famously declared, “I don’t care what you call it, but I know it’s the best kichen aid I have ever had!”. And so a brand name was born and the first KitchenAid Stand Mixer was revealed.

Nearly a century on and the stand mixer remains the standard for everything created today. KitchenAid has never lost sight of the brand’s original guiding principle that everything carrying the KitchenAid name should make time spent in the kitchen more enjoyable. So here’s to 90 years in the kitchen – making meals, memories and milestones.
